The new Parkland YMCA and the excitement it brings to Parkland and the surrounding communities is filled with the tradition that comes with the history of the YMCA.

The YMCA of Broward County was founded in 1944 with a mission to put Judeo-Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all. This mission still holds true over 60 years later.

We currently operate eight membership/program centers located throughout Broward County. On an average week, over 25,000 individuals benefit from programs and services the YMCA provides. Together, the nation's more than 2,500 YMCAs are the largest not-for-profit community service organizations in America, working to meet the health and social service needs of 18.9 million men, women and children in 10,000 communities in the United States. Our YMCA’s are for people of all faiths, races, abilities, ages and incomes. No one is turned away for inability to pay. YMCAs' strength is in the people they bring together.

Developing skills, building relationships, promoting the values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility while serving the community to create positive experiences has been our goal for over 60 years.

Parkland residents will still be given priority when signing up for programs and will be allowed to do it at a reduced rate.
